born in Iran and educated in United States, I’ve lived in East London longer than I’ve lived anywhere else around the world. I am a mother of 3, a son and two daughters, all at university. I hold an honours degree from Wayne State University in Michigan and a diploma in computer programming from Control Data institute. I have been an estate agent since 2002, passed my EAAB Examination in 2002, graduated from the Homenet Academy in 2003, and achieved the new FETCC real estate qualification in 2009. I obtained my Masters Degree in Physical Education an Sport in 1981 at the University of Bucarest, Romania. I have worked in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Papua New Guinea and South Africa in the field of Physical Education and Sports. I joined Harcourts Conerstone team in 2010.

Leigh Jacobsen

Marion Hannabus

“I was born in Mthatha, Transkei and lived on a trading station at Engcobo. This has given me a good understanding of the Xhosa language from an early age. I matriculated from KHS in King Williams Town and obtained a legal secretarial certificate at the Natal Technikon in 1977. My career has been in the financial services industry, namely life assurance, banking and now real estate. I have a daughter, Jenna, who is studying her B.Comm degree at Fort Hare University in East London. My career in real estate commenced in 2004. I passed the Estate Agent board exam in 2006 and graduated from the Homenet Training Academy in June 2007, at the National conference held in Botswana. I work in partnership with Leigh, and our goal is to attend to each client’s individual needs. We achieved 7th position at the Top Achievers Regional Awards in Katberg in September 2007. A gold award was achieved in March 2009 and a Bronze award in June 2009 for Commission generated. I have also received the Sapphire pin award for over R30 million in career sales. Nadia Khayltash

Nadieh was born and raised in Iran. Growing up, she always saw humanity as a whole, and saw beyond borders and races. She and her husband, Nariman, as a newly wed couple, felt inspired to move to Nigeria in the early seventies, where she worked in education, and Nariman in agriculture. They lived in Nigeria for 11 years, and brought up their two daughters there. Since then her life journey has taken her to three more countries before settling in South Africa in 1991. Traveling from country to country has given her opportunities to change careers a few times. Although she has an honors degree in economics and a diploma in computer micro-processors, most of her career has centered on education. The interaction with young minds, and helping students develop and fulfill their potentials and capacities through learning, gives her a deep sense of satisfaction. After teaching mathematics and science for 14 years in East London, she felt it was time for a new challenge, and so she joined the rank and file of Real Estate Agents. She has been with Homenet Cornerstone since 2006. Already she has been awarded the 9th place in number of units sold through the entire Eastern Cape region in her first year. Always smiling, her kindness and care towards people is evident in her every day dealing with clients. But it's her patience, humility and truthfulness that put her in a category by herself in this industry.

“I am very passionate about East London and, to this end, whilst I was employed in the F.M.C.G industry prior to my joining the real estate industry, turned down numerous transfers to other bigger metropoles, in favour of staying in East London. I joined the real estate industry in the latter part of 2003 and have been with Harcourts Cornerstone (then, Homenet Cornerstone) ever since. Training in all aspects of the real estate industry is mandatory at our Harcourts office. I graduated from the Homenet Training Academy and passed the Estate Agents Board Exam in early 2005.I have recently received numerous accreditations in recognition for high levels of proficiency in the real estate industry. Training is an ongoing part of this industry due to constantly changing trends. After studying Civil Engineering I developed interest for the property sales and investment business. I have acquired knowledge for the property development business also. My exposure to Real Estate began in 2008 while I was in Durban. I learnt a lot and I was able to make lots of sales in a short space of time, something which made my superiors hold me in high regard. I am presently working under Harcourts Cornerstone in Southerwood East London.
